German Short Story Readers
The series of short story readers is designed to enhance learning of German by starting with simple vocabulary and structures, advancing to higher levels. The vocabulary in early readers repeats itself in more advanced readers as new vocabulary is introduced. This on-going repetition reinforces the student's language facility. In addition to the short story readers, audio CDs are available, enabling the students to listen to the stories as they read.

1. SHORT STORIES GERMAN 1.1 READER.
This reader is intended for German 1 high school students when students are reading with the help of their teacher. It can be used for higher levels when students are reading independently.
2. SHORT STORIES GERMAN 2.1 READER.
This reader is intended for German 2 high school students when students are reading with the help of their teacher. It can be used for higher levels when students are reading independently.

3. SHORT STORIES GERMAN 3/4 READER
The reader is intended for German 3 and 4 classes. The difficulty at the beginning of the reader matches the difficulty of the 2.1 Reader. The 3/4 Reader builds in difficulty as the book progresses.

The above three readers are the first of a series of six readers that will be published. The six readers, which build upon each other, will provide reading material from the first very simple reading to the advanced German 4 level. Although most readers are purchased by high school teachers for their students, a few readers were purchased by independent German learners and at the university level.
